Mina and Brian celebrated their June wedding at The Bordone LIC, a beautiful wedding venue in Long Island City, Queens, with incredible views of the Manhattan skyline.

Their Bordone LIC wedding happened to fall on a rainy summer day, which meant plans for an outdoor rooftop ceremony had to change. But as so often happens on a wedding day, the unexpected became part of the story. The ceremony was moved indoors, creating a warm and intimate setting for Mina and Brian to exchange their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.

The day began with getting ready at The Bordone, with plenty of quiet moments and anticipation before the celebration began. Mina wore a timeless Jenny Yoo wedding dress, with hair and makeup by Ombre by EJ. The wedding was beautifully planned and designed by Sunday Morning Events, with gorgeous floral design by Floral Designs by Sofie.

Throughout the afternoon, we kept an eye on the weather, hoping for a little break in the rain. Luckily, we found a few perfect moments to step outside for portraits. The cloudy skies and soft light created such a beautiful atmosphere, with the New York City skyline in the distance.

What I loved most about Mina and Brian’s wedding was how relaxed and joyful the day felt despite the change of plans. There were thoughtful details, emotional moments, lots of laughter, and so many candid interactions between the people they love most.

Their rainy-day wedding at The Bordone LIC was a wonderful reminder that the weather doesn’t define a wedding day. Sometimes the unexpected moments become some of the most memorable—and some of my favorite photographs.
