Kailyn + Stephen’s Sleepy Hollow Country Club wedding in New York was absolutely exquisite.  It took place on a rainy New York day, but that did not prevent anyone from enjoying it fully!  The day began by getting ready at the historic Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York.  We managed to capture truly beautiful moments as Kailyn prepared herself for the big day. She and her bridesmaids got ready in a room at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club — one of 140 rooms in this Vanderbilt mansion that was originally owned by Colonel Elliott Fitch Shepard and his wife, Margaret Louisa Vanderbilt Shepard.  I loved capturing all of the gorgeous details the bride had pain-stakingly arranged such as her dazzling navy blue shoes, the beautifully designed wedding invitations, and each carefully selected piece of jewelry. Kailyn wore a wedding gown designed by Suzanne Neville, an award winning British bridal and evening gown designer.  You’ll also notice the divine florals provided by Forever in Bloom. Highlights of the venue, built in 1892-3, include intricate woodwork and ornate decorations. The tall ceilings and decorative windows added to the classic feel of this building — and made for great photo backdrops. After everyone was ready, we headed to the ceremony which took place at the Church of the Holy Family in New Rochelle, New York.  Not only was it a beautiful location for the ceremony, the church is conveniently near the Sleepy Hollow Country Club.

After the wedding, we moved from the church back to Sleepy Hollow Country Club for more photos and the reception.  Although the weather did not want to cooperate and we had to move family portraits indoors, the photos turned out beautifully.  The bridal party and family members exuded love. You could tell they were clearly joyful to be celebrating with Kailyn + Stephen on their special day.  The photos of the family were lovely. The ensuing evening was elegant and formal — yet absolutely celebratory. Everyone enjoyed the carefully selected menu.  The reception tables with their fall-themed decorations combined with the sounds of live music that filled the air to create a perfect setting for the lovely fall wedding reception!  The happy couple showed off their moves on the dance floor in the gorgeous ballroom. The cake-cutting was another highlight of their reception; they cut the luxurious cake under the backdrop of an ornate chandelier.  Everything about Kailyn + Stephen’s wedding and reception was perfectly elegant!
