There is nothing quite like a Midtown loft and terrace wedding. And Gary’s Loft is the perfect wedding venue for you if you’re looking for just that. Featuring the classic New York skyline, this Manhattan penthouse is ideal for engaged couples looking for a true New York wedding. The interior of the venue boasts white wooden floors, wide windows, and clean white walls. You can truly make this sophisticated venue your own by sprucing it up with personal touches. We also explored the rooftop area’s accents of red brick and the rustic water tower. I would definitely recommend this venue to couples looking for a sophisticated, yet shabby-chic vibe; hit me up if you are interested in having a Gary’s Loft wedding! Highlights of the day include the creative shots we took on the rooftop just before the rain really started coming down. I love how rainy weather brings out certain urban elements of New York City.
We started out the day with getting ready photos at a nearby The Langham hotel in Midtown, NYC. We walked through the streets of New York and explored a bit of the city together. We saw the sights, smelled the smells, and had a true New York experience. I have been loving the NYC wedding photography experience. If you are planning an NYC wedding, let me know!
Since rain started to come down, the ceremony was moved from the rooftop terrace to inside the industrial modern loft. The details of this wedding were, in a word, spectacular. Every little thing was just right. The backdrop of the ceremony was an exposed brick wall decorated with a gorgeous wedding arch filled with greenery designed by Florabrook. See what I mean by spectacular details? Interwoven lemon leaf, eucalyptus, blue thistle, and wild grasses ran down the rustic industrial tables for the reception and meal. Guests enjoyed the carefully curated menu from Bartleby & Sage, all served family style. This added a warm feeling to the friendly atmosphere, like you were at home eating a meal with family and friends. The dessert menu featured some of the couple’s favorite sweets — lemon poppy seed bundt cake, black and white cookies, carrot cake cupcakes, and pecan bourbon pie. Everyone enjoyed the food, drinks, sweets, and time with friends!
This was such a fun wedding for me to capture; I hope I can visit Gary’s Loft again soon. If you are looking for some wedding planning inspiration, scroll down to see the amazing details, gorgeous greenery, and friendly atmosphere from this NYC wedding.
