This Deer Mountain Inn wedding is one I will not soon forget. Deer Mountain Inn is located in the Catskill Mountains in the hills that overlook Tannersville, New York. Surrounded by over 200 acres of breathtaking forest, this venue offers views of the Catskills and a place to breathe in fresh mountain air in the Hudson Valley. The property features an inn that was built in 1880 and multiple cottages — each with its own charm. Deer Mountain Inn boasts unique craftsman-style architecture and a charming, quaint interior. Each room has its own distinctive appeal — whether that appeal is original paintings, lofted windows, a large stone fireplace, or serene views of the wooded grounds — every room is spectacular. Guests stay busy wandering the lawns, woods, and hiking trails of Deer Mountain Inn — a truly spectacular Hudson Valley wedding venue.
Courtney got ready in one of the cottages, the Tuckaway Cottage. She wore a gorgeous Hayley Paige dress from The White Dress by the Shore. Upstyle did the bride’s hair and makeup; she appeared truly majestic. Her bridesmaids helped her put the finishing touches on her wedding day ensemble on the bright porch.
Tom was patiently waiting at The Attic at Deer Mountain with his buddies. The Attic is located on the third floor of the inn and creates a rustic lodge feel, complete with autumn colors and cozy details. He met her outside Tuckaway Cottage for their first look. I loved the intimate moments in the woods as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. The bridal party joined them for some beautiful woodsy, natural photos. The ladies wore spectacular rose colored gowns, and the gentlemen wore impeccable beautiful mauve suits.
The time then arrived for a breathtaking outdoor ceremony overlooking the Catskills. There were amazing floral arrangements set up by Shoving Leopard Farm, a specialty cut-flower farm in the Hudson Valley wedding venue. Following the ceremony, there was a cozy celebration in a large tent. String lights and candles created a very warm atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the spectacular meal, the campfire, and then hit the dancefloor. I am forever grateful to be part of the fun, unique, and memory-making moments as a Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer.
