We have control over so little. And yet. I want your wedding experience to be flawless. When you inquire, I want you to feel valued and cherished from my first response. When you’re planning your timeline, I want you to feel known and understood. And when I hug you at the end of the night, I know you’ll feel like I did everything in my power to make sure you enjoyed every step of the process.

I will answer every question you have (and quickly too! I’m talking within a few hours on weekdays!), make a rainy wedding day look like magic, and even sew a button on a shirt if needed. I’ve photographed over 150 weddings and I feel like each one prepared me for yours.

Let me be the calm presence you’re looking for on your wedding day. You’ll feel comfortable in front of the camera and together, we’ll create images you’ll cherish for decades to come. The photo-taking portion of your day will be one of the most memorable with me. We will laugh and have fun, and you’ll get some time alone to soak in your first moments as forever partners.

      FAQ
      Where are you based?

I live in Bergen County, NJ with my family. It’s just outside New York City so I’m able to photograph weddings in NYC, any of the city boroughs, Hudson Valley, Catskills and all over the US. Very often I travel to Poland (where I'm originally from) and other cites in Europe and I'm able to photograph weddings there too.

What is your style of photography?

I strongly believe that pictures should be timeless. I don’t follow any trends. I want your photos to be beautiful now and 10 years from now. I shoot timeless portraiture and the candid and in-between moments. My main goal is to capture your emotion, no matter what the setting is.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

After falling in love with photography while photographing my son, I realized how much fun it was to shoot weddings. I photographed my first one In 2011 and quickly realized how much I love telling the story of a wedding day.

Will you meet with us before signing the agreement?

I actually love to FaceTime or hop in a Google Hangout so I can answer any of your questions. It saves us both time but we still get to see each other’s faces and get to know one another a little bit!

Should we book an engagement session?

Yes! I think engagement sessions are absolutely the best way for us to get to know one another before your big day. I schedule them on weekdays because I shoot weddings on weekends. We’ll meet either early in the morning or late in the afternoon to take advantage of the most beautiful light. Sessions last between an hour or two and I love when you choose the location. I want it to be personal and sentimental for both of you!

Do you offer albums and wedding books?

Yes! I work with an amazing company, Red Tree Albums, who produces gorgeous fine art prints and albums. I design your album myself, paying special attention to crafting the story of your day.

On that note … why should I buy an album?

I think albums are the single most important gift you can give yourselves and your family after your big day. We will make beautiful images together—images that deserve to be printed and stared at. A screen can only convey so much. But holding an album in your hands? A tangible memory? There’s nothing like it.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

For 8 hours of wedding day coverage, you can expect 500-700 photos. I personally edit each and every photo to make sure you receive absolutely best image. Pictures will be delivered via an online gallery. No watermarks. Just your beautiful faces. I will also send you a USB drive the same images to make sure you have a couple copies.

How soon do we get images?

Within 48 hours (yes, hours) of your wedding, I will email you a sneak peek! You’ll get about 40 images that you can share on social media and with your loved ones. Then you can expect your full gallery to be ready and delivered within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day.

How do we book and pay?

To reserve your date, I will ask you to sign an online agreement and make your first payment: 30% of the total. The remainder is due one month before your wedding day. I accept credit cards and checks.

      Kailyn + Steven
We felt Monika really took the time to understand us as a couple and make sure we were comfortable - and as a result Monika took the most incredible images that truly captured the emotions of the day. When I look at our photographs I feel the same joy I felt on our wedding day. What is most incredible about Monika is her personality. She knows how to laugh and have a good time with you -- she promptly answers any questions/emails and she is ready to help out with anything you need.
